We are delighted to share the results of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on August 23rd, 2024. We are thrilled to report that Valley House Nursery received an overall “Good” rating!
What the Inspectors Found:
The inspectors praised many aspects of our nursery, including:
- Caring and Nurturing Environment: Our staff was recognised for creating a safe and secure space where children feel comfortable and develop strong relationships with trusted adults.
- Engaging Activities: The inspectors observed a variety of activities tailored to children’s individual needs and interests. This fosters a love of learning and supports their development in all areas.
- Focus on Personal Development: The report highlighted our commitment to social, emotional, and physical development alongside cognitive skills.
- Supportive Staff: The inspectors noted the high level of knowledge our staff possesses about child development. They commended our staff’s ability to explain concepts clearly and support children in their learning journeys.
- Strong Partnerships with Parents: The report highlighted the positive feedback received from parents who appreciate the communication and updates they receive about their children’s progress.
Areas for Development:
The inspectors also identified two areas where we can continue to improve:
- Encouraging Collaborative Play: While children develop social skills through individual activities, the inspectors recommended incorporating more opportunities for them to work and play together, fostering positive relationships and teamwork.
- Clarity in Explanations: The report suggested that staff can further refine how they explain learning activities to ensure children understand the goals and expectations.
We are committed to continuous improvement and will use this feedback to further enhance our curriculum and teaching methods.
