Our Staff
Valley House Nursery boasts a dedicated and supportive team of qualified and experienced staff who collaborate closely to cultivate a positive atmosphere within the nursery.
We firmly believe that the quality of a nursery is determined by its staff, and we take immense pride in our unwavering commitment to our team members and the dedication they demonstrate towards your child. We acknowledge the significant correlation between well-qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic staff and the provision of high-quality care and education for your little one. When selecting our nursery staff, we not only prioritize the right qualifications and experience but also seek individuals who possess a genuine passion for working with children.
In the entrance of the nursery, we proudly showcase photographs and names of our staff, along with their highest early years qualifications. Additionally, we highlight the diverse languages spoken by our team. Moreover, prior to commencing work with children, our staff undergo a thorough enhanced DBS check.
The safety and well-being of all children entrusted to our care are of paramount importance to us. We take our responsibility for safeguarding children very seriously and kindly request your support in fulfilling this crucial role. Within the nursery, we have a designated safeguarding lead, along with supporting DSLs, ensuring that a staff member with this knowledge is always available. We also collaborate closely with external agencies such as health, education, and social care. In instances where we have concerns about a child potentially experiencing abuse, we have a legal obligation to report the matter to social care, following the established protocols in the child's locality. We will always communicate with parents and carers about any actions being taken and strive to work together, unless disclosing our concerns might jeopardize the safety of the child or staff member involved.
Embracing an inclusive philosophy, our nursery takes into account any additional needs a child may have. The staff team works in partnership with parents, carers, healthcare professionals, educators, and social care to ensure that the nursery effectively caters to the unique requirements of each individual child. We have a Special Educational Needs Coordinator who assists our staff in preparing to meet children's specific needs. However, all our staff members possess a solid working knowledge to ensure comprehensive support for all children, including those with special educational needs.
